It’s normal to question if fresh technologies will outperform current ones as the world depends more and more on technology. There have recently been rumors that ChatGPT, a cutting-edge language model created by OpenAI, may eventually displace Google as the preferred online information provider. Is this, however, a serious possibility?
The simplest answer is that ChatGPT won’t take the place of Google. Although ChatGPT is a remarkable language model that can produce text that resembles human speech in response to a prompt, it is not and cannot be a search engine. On the other hand, Google is a sophisticated system that combines cutting-edge algorithms and machine learning methods to give people relevant search results.
Furthermore, ChatGPT or any other language model is exceedingly unlikely to ever overtake Google in terms of popularity or use given its enormous resource base and strong brand recognition.
Therefore, ChatGPT is not a suitable substitute for Google or other search engines, even though it may be a valuable tool for producing text. These platforms will continue to be used by users to find information online.
